print to pdf

Hi I installed Ubuntu from the alternate-cd iso which I downloaded
perhaps 1 week ago. I haven't really added much software to it or
tinkered with it much. Applied all the updates though (some 90+) and did
some compiling of kernel modules to get ACPI working and the FnKeys. But
not really messed with any PDF stuff, I thought it was automatically
setup?
