[Q] how to move to new drive?

Hi, is there an easy way to move Ubuntu from my old dual-boot 40GB 
drive to a new 120GB drive? I tried using Acronis to copy 
partitions. Windows was fine, but Ubuntu grub and fstab got all 
confused.

I guess there are a lot of places inside Linux where the partition 
number is recorded(?). Is there some way to move a Linux partition 
and repair all the damage?
