This is not good.
First try to get a new disk and have a look at
wiki.Ubuntu.com/BootOptions.
Consider reinstalling breezy at its most basic and changing the word
breezy for dapper in the file
/etc/apt/sources and then sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get
dist-upgrade (the difference between upgrade and dist-upgrade is a
couple of hundred megs. Good luck.
