I synchronise between my work desktop, home desktop and my laptop.
However, I am careful about where I initiate the sync from. I always
have my work desktop as the remote machine and initiate the sync either
from my home desktop or my laptop. And I never sync between my laptop
and home desktop. I find being consistent in this manner avoids any
difficulties. Oh, all three machines are Ubuntu Dapper, which may also
help.

Tony.
