Hi everyone !
Looks like I'm stuck.
I installed TOR and PRIVOXY available in the dapper repositories.

* I had to change the tor dir permisssions (from TOR to me, user) in
order to make it work !
* Installing privoxy OK but
a) I had to move its /etc/privoxy/config to my home directory, if not
it was not able to start
b) it does not work and the error is :
Jun 19 11:46:40 Privoxy(b7e1b6c0) Info: loading configuration file
'/home/seb/config':
Jun 19 11:46:40 Privoxy(b7e1b6c0) Fatal error: init_error_log(): can't
open logfile: logfile
Jun 19 11:46:40 Privoxy(b7e1b6c0) Fatal error: init_error_log(): can't
open logfile: logfile

... while the file exists and is readable and worse : logs are written
in that file (logs of my web traffic). but the proxy does not work,
while firefox tor plugin is enabled.

Log in the TOR logfile is :
Jun 19 10:20:44.501 [notice] Tor has successfully opened a circuit.
Looks like it's working.
Jun 19 11:42:58.447 [warn] Couldn't
open /var/lib/tor/cached-directory.tmp for writing: Permission denied
Jun 19 11:42:58.465 [notice] dirserv_set_cached_directory(): Couldn't
write cached directory to disk. Ignoring.

Has anyone had the same problem ?
It's a real pain because under W2K MS$$, the install and config of TOR
took me approx. 2min... with the vidalia bundle.
