how many people have actually replaced Windows with Ubuntu Linux

I'd change the subject from: How many people have switched from a main
OS to Linux

That's because in my case, I switched from MacOS 9 to mklinux about 5
years ago (or more). Started doing some dual-boots and then discovered
Mac-on-Linux (MoL).

Then I bought a cheaper PC box and the first OS I put on it was Win2k
and dual-boot that with RedHat. Then switched to Mandrake and never
really used Windows at all. Ah.... the years thought me better... And
I end up switching from one distro to another until finally discovered
Debian and eventually until somebody got the great idea of making a
desktop OS based on Debian. And Ubuntu was borned.

Now all my workstations, both at work and home, are full time Dapper
boxes with no need to switch anywhere (no dual-booting). I saved like
6gb of my drive by doing that. Now I used all that space for better
things ;-)

Like the famous quote says:
How do you save space on your C:\ drive:
* c:\> format c:
* And let Ubuntu take over the drive

Can't go wrong.
