Microdrive in PCMCIA adaptor won't automount.

This may not have an easy solution...

Using my laptop (Dapper) and a digital camera, I sometimes want to move files
from the Microdrive (CF type two card) onto the computer.

If I insert the drive, in a carrier, into a PCMCIA (PC Card) slot, it becomes
visible as a disc in the 'Computer' place under the gui file browser. However
it will not mount, giving the error message (from pmount) that it is not a
removable device. Which it of course it actually is.

If I manually mount from a terminal, the device works fine and I can copy the
files across.

Is there any simple way to persuade the system (pmount at least) that any drive
which appears via a PCMCIA slot *is* removable?

Neil

PS I know that if I use a USB card reader, there is no problem with
automounting of the drive...
