Major Problem Dapper ( Warning ) 6/17 (FIX)

I re-add the volume control to the top menu panel,
and then went into the switches and un-selected the external amplifier
then, went into preferences and un-selected the external amplifier,
then closed, and re-open and went into volume preferences and selected 
external amplifier, then selected switch tab, and re-selected external 
amplifier.

Reboot: then I heard the drums... yeah !!!!
