help about xserver

[zhihang wang]

I use ubuntu 5.10. When I install the xserver, the error occure.Now I can
enter the ubuntu without xserver system.I guess perhaps the reason is the
video card.

which Ubuntu you try to install?
and first use Live CD for Ubuntu to test your hardware, as i know ATI it
should works.
