Why Different Commands ?

That would no doubt help those who want to avoid using cli to get some
things done. But aside from generally taking longer to express how to do
something than simply quoting a command to type into a terminal or run
prompt to do the same thing, Always trying to explain graphically might
tend to reduce the chances of new users from learning that it's also
sometime easier to type a short command string, than to click ones way
through the gui to do somethings.

Now what I'd like to see would be that right after a well explained gui
sequence on how to do something, such as you suggest, that the knowledge
giver would also when ever possible follow it with something like:

Or just enter the command:
chmod 755 filename
"

This way both gui & cli methods can be compared by the new user, who can
then make his/her own mind up on which interface to use for what tasks.
