Creating /home partition

Format the new partition using fdisk or cfdisk

Mount the new partition as something like newhome.

Copy (or rsync) all files and directories to newhome

Edit /etc/fstab to mount the new partition as /home

either reboot or unmount newhome and then do

# mount -a
