Just because you run Linux, doesn't mean you can't infect Windoze machines.

AVG/ClamAV/Avast/F-Prot are good Linux AV clients.

Sub7 is a trojan from the 90s made for Windoze. AV definitions after 
1998 should destroy this trojan. You had to run a file to get this 
trojan on your system.

chkrootkit and rkhunter are both available in the Dapper Repos. If you 
believe your friend compromised your Dapper box, use them to find it.
