I'm trying to run (and eventually install) from the live Desktop CD. As
soon as the X server starts, the screen gets garbled up and becomes
unusable. I've gone to another virtual console and looked at the
xorg.conf file, and it has selected the "nv" driver, which should work.
The only odd thing I can find in the file is that somehow it thinks
that I have a wacom tablet.
I've removed the wacom tablet devices, and restarted X, and I get the
same problem. I've tried switching to use the "nvidia" driver, but I
get an error saying that nvidia.ko cannot be found, even though apt
tells me that linux-restricted-modules and nvidia-kernel-common are
installed.
Any ideas on how to proceed?
