Help help. eth0 is gone.

Someone on IRC figured out the problem. It took quite a while to find. 
But in the end the solution was:

modprobe pcmcia && modprobe pcmcia-core

Thanks for the help.

But to answer your question, ifconfig only outputted the 'lo' device. 
Just as if I didn't have a card at all. And dmesg gave the following 
output  http://pastebin.com/767197

But the modprobe fixed it. Thanks everyone for the ehlp.
