gdm starts only failsafe session

Justification: renders package unusable

We have a few stations running Ubuntu Dapper. Most of them were installed during 
beta stages. Since we upgraded them to final, GDM is not behaving properly, and 
only allowing Failsafe session weither we try to select Gnome, KDE or XFCE as a 
Window Manager.

This seems to be related to GDM since KDM has no problem starting any of the 
desktop environments we have.
