And which exact line is in sources.list?

Also, is it possible that the non-working server and the working workstation are different architectures?  (i386 and 
amd64 for instance)  That last is a complete shot in the dark if you find that a diligent comparison of the security 
line in sources.list is truly identical on both the server and the workstation.  I don't actually even know for sure 
there's a separate security url for different architectures, so apologies if that part turns out to be bad info.
