I run Azureus all the time (or at least most of the time) my computer is
up and I don't have this problem at all. I would make sure that you are
running the latest version of Azureus and the latest version of Java.
Azureus works great on my Ubuntu box. Sometimes it does eat all my
bandwidth, but even then I have plenty of CPU left.
