mrtg: can't find lock directory after upgrade to dapper

Package: mrtg
Version: 2.12.2-1
Severity: normal

Hello,
mrtg uses a lock file under /var/lock/mrtg, but after upgrading to dapper,
this directory no longer exists since /var/lock is a tmpfs one now.
Thus, mrtg refuses to start:

ERROR: Creating templock /var/lock/mrtg/_etc_mrtg.cfg_l_7263: No such file or directory at /usr/bin/mrtg line 1645.
ERROR: Creating templock /var/lock/mrtg/_etc_mrtg.cfg_l_8389: No such file or directory at /usr/bin/mrtg line 1645.

Manually recreating the directory fixes it, but it must be done at each reboot.

Maybe it could be added as a "@reboot" rule in the crontab file.

Thanks

Pf
