OK. Searched for "The Man Comes Around". Started playing the title
track. Normal play. Searched for "Lose Yourself". Double-clicked on
it. Normal play. Searched for "Africa". Played "Storms in Africa".
Normal play.
The bug isn't showing up on my box, so the problem's something deeper.
It's also beyond my ability to help much, I'm afraid. The first thing
I'd suggest is go into Synaptic and completely obliterate Rhythmbox.
Find the config files in your home directory and obliterate those as
well. Then reinstall and reindex. See if that solves the problem.
(I'm thinking you've got some kind of indexing issues.) If that doesn't
clear it up, someone who actually knows ALSA (ALAS?) and who is willing
to work on it may have to take over.
