Hi Everyone,
I just switched from Debian Sid to Ubuntu Dapper and
want to commend Ubuntu for their easy to install ISO
image. I switched from Debian because I'm looking for
an easy to maintain Linux OS and think I've found it.
I had initial trouble logging on to gnome. It didn't
recognize my password and come to think of it, I don't
recall being asked for it during the install. This I fixed
easily with adduser. However, I can't use sudo, or su, and
don't recall being asked to give a root password during
install. Perhaps I missed it. Would appreciate cluing
me in on how to setup a root account after the initial
install. Thanks in advance for any suggestion or links.
Plz copy my email on any replies as I'm not currently
subscribed. You have a great OS.
