How to enable X-server in Dapper Drake‏

Hi,

Installed Daper Drake (server), and I -almost- regret it. A lot of small 
things just don't work.

Example: RUnning the X-server to accept connections from other (unix) 
machines. In Breezy Badger, I edited gdm.conf , said 
"disallowTCP=false", did "Xhosts +" , and this is it.

Now, it doesn't work. Looks as if gdm is using a file named gdm.conf-ccd 
or something like this - which I can't find. ANy idea?

(I am using the xubuntu desktop).
