I had comanche [1] running some years ago. It was a usefull gui application 
for configuring apacche 1. But it seems the development of comanche stopped 
in 2003. So I'm not shure if it will work for apache 2.

Nevertheless I think it's worth a note to the developers asking for such a 
tool.
