Ubuntu on a MacBook Pro?

The MacBook Pro is not a PC. It has no BIOS and the disk partitioning
format is GUID, not the PC's MBR. Ordinary PC OSs will not run on it,
except under emulation.

Intel Macs are not PCs & are not PC-compatible. The only way Windows
runs is using a whole set of new drivers and patches. Just 'cos it's
got an x86 chip in it doesn't mean it's a PC.
