Add and remove software package problem

Hi.

I use Ubuntu dapper drake and when I run this package from the menu it 
does not allow me to uninstall any software unless I pass to advanced mode.

Before in the previous breasy bagger when i run this software it 
altomatically asked for the admin password. Now it only asks me when i 
pass to advanced mode. Could this be related to the problems facing me?
