Read-Only RAID-5 on DVD? :-)

I know I'm horribly late to this thread but I just couldn't let this go
- there's no reason why you have to use iso9660 on CD/DVD devices. You
can have anything like as long as you can get it on there. If you create
a file, use it as a loop device, format it ext2, write data to it, then
burn it to disc you'll have an ext2 format CD and it will all work fine.

I have some old Silicon Graphics CDs here (that might predate iso9660 if
that's even possible) that are efs format.
