There's a Linux boot disk (floppy) you can download that is designed to
reset Windows passwords. It's easiest to use it to set blank passwords
and then boot windows again and log in with no password (for the user
you changed), set a new password and you're all set.

Google is your friend (try something like: Linux "boot disk" +reset
+windows +password). I've used it to reset the "Administrator" password
on WinNT, Win2K (Pro & Server varieties), Win2K3 and WinXP. No idea if
it works with Vista, but I doubt very much that M$ re-wrote their SAM
hive formats from the ground up for Vista. Hell, nearly everything that
was supposed to be "new" in Vista was thrown out ages ago before it even
saw a beta release! ;)
