Md5sums and burning CDs

Yes. That's so, because you don't check the md5sum of the
burned ISO, but of the contents of the filesystem you burned
on CD. You'd need to check the md5sum of the device file, ie.
md5sum /dev/cdrom.

HOWEVER, the md5sum might not match and this might not be
a problem at all. Reason: There might be problems to read
the last sector completely.

Just give it a try.
