Live CD/DVD Doesn't Work?!?!

I reburned to a DVD-R, and the issue persists. It gets to a blank screen with a single blinking cursor, the cursor freezes, and there we sit.

Any ideas?

I don't think so.  Mine are all burned to CD or DVD RW.  Most work; a few do not.
