Dapper Realplayer starts video correctly then stalls at 10% loaded.

Since doing a final distribution update on my Dapper 6.06 five month old 
working Ubuntu system, the Multimedia programs were somewhat scrambled. After 
much tinkering using various Ubuntu dapper WIKI  information, all is again 
working except for realplayer.  The problem is realplay loads a video from 
Firefox (the latest version 1.5 something) displays one frame clearly and 
correctly then stall at 10% of the video loaded.  No command given to 
realplayer will cause it to continue loading and realplayer is not "frozen". 
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to look?  I have both unloaded 
and re-installed realplay from the dapper repositories as well as directly 
from realplay and nothing seems to have any effect.
