How install

Dear Ubuntu,
  I'm installed Ubuntu ver:6.06 yesterday.
  Yeh! Nice.
  But i can't play mp3 , wmv and also any vdo files. Only urs examles.
  Now downloades codec from http://www.debian-multimedia.org/pool/main/w/w32codecs/w32codecs_20060611-0.0_i386.deb
  From another computer. not mine.
  Is it solutions to my problem?
  How i install it to my machine?
  And also my Radio card is not support to (PowerPixcel) Ubuntu! what i need to do?
