Hi List,

I am using a new laptop (LG K1-324CAB) - evrything works great with
the standard Dapper install, _except_ sound.

I have:
* muted and unmuted many channels including the external amplifier in alsamixer.
* compiled and used alsa 1.0.12rc1 (now back on dapper default version)
* plugged headphones into the audio jack - no sound, not even very quiet.

dmesg reports the following, which I think may have some correlation
with the problem:

[17179570.960000] PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 0 of device 0000:00:1e.2
[17179570.960000] PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 1 of device 0000:00:1e.2
[17179570.960000] PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 2 of device 0000:00:1e.2
[17179570.960000] PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 3 of device 0000:00:1e.2

(0000:00:1e.2 is the multimedia device)
