I think this is a good idea. For example I've got a 3G connection
provided by Vodafone, and the only way that I can work with my pcmcia 3G
Card Option is to disable the PIN code in Windows and in the profile of
Vodafone Mobile Connect Manager activate 3G and GPRS (put 3G as
preference and GPRS as secundary) without this steps I can't connect my
card from Ubuntu.
I've tried a script from www.pharscape.org but I gave me errors and I've
tired of searching for a script to do this automatically.
And for modem ADSL I agree with being drivers in the repositoires. For
example my girlfriend got a Octal A320 I think is that model and I've
needed to create a debian package for install automatically the modem.
This could be in the repositoires. How I can add that to the
repositoires.
Thanks for you help.
