Does ubuntu plan to release an install DVD ?

The last I heard about the DVD was that it had the old installer and the
new installer, which I think meant it's just Ubuntu times 2. Not much
space for extras.

Surely someone is making a more useful set of CD's DVD's? Here's one
project I found:
