I have noticed a particular type of bug with firefox using my slow connection.
When the network connection used by firefox is slow, for example when you are 
also downloading files in the background, firefox uses close to 100% CPU.
This is irrespective of the type of content it is loading.

If you open say 5 tabs, then it takes some time, maybe 60 seconds, to load
everything.  While firefox is waiting for all of the data is loaded it will hog
the cpu and be unable to scroll the current page for example, even if the pages
only contain text and a few images.

This problem is called 'busy-waiting' and is caused by very poor programming.
