Snort Issues

I'm trying to install a Snort/MySQL/Base setup but I am having
difficulties.  When I install snort vi apt-get I don't get a complete
installation.  For example when trying to start snort I get

Unable to open rules file: classification.config
or /etc/snort/classification.config

I have tried removing (--purge) and reinstalling (--reinstall) both the
snort-mysql and snort-common packages but with no luck.  Any ideas?
