Very good. After searching the internet I found this post and was able
to get my Wifi working under the custom kernel as well.
I have a couple questions though. I did things the long way and
installed ieee802.11 and the intel ipw2200 drivers manually. I tried
compiling them both into the kernel as modules but they didnt work
together. Is ieee802.11 required in the kernel to have ipw2200 work? I
noticed a package of iee802.11 in Synaptics. How do they all relate?
For next time I compile a kernel it would be nice to be able to use an
older stable version of the wifi driver and just load the required
firmware like previously discussed.
Thanks
