As far as I know, the only sound-related app I'm running
simultaneously is gkrellm-volume. lsof says:
lsof /dev/dsp* /dev/snd/*
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE NODE NAME
gkrellm 5115 lconrad 8u CHR 116,0 8704 /dev/snd/controlC0
python2.4 31669 lconrad mem CHR 116,16 8678 /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p
python2.4 31669 lconrad 4r CHR 116,33 8609 /dev/snd/timer
python2.4 31669 lconrad 5u CHR 116,16 8678 /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p
python2.4 31680 lconrad mem CHR 116,16 8678 /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p
python2.4 31680 lconrad 5u CHR 116,16 8678 /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p
How else would I go about looking for the nasty non-sharing app?
