Need some assisstance with APT-PROXY please

Here is the output from an update using apt-proxy:
$ sudo aptitude update
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading extended state information
Initializing package states... Done
Building tag database... Done
0% [Waiting for headers]
It just hangs on getting the headers :(
