Hi,
I had a more recent sysvinit installed and have now downgraded back to
the one in Dapper.
I ran "apt-get install sysvinit initscripts --reinstall" and all
seemed to go well. However, when I boot, I get two messages
complaining of missing init files: /lib/init/mount-functions.sh and
/lib/init/vars.sh
I don't know why I am getting these messages. I have grepped through
everything in the /etc, /sbin, and /lib/init trees and get no hits for
these files.
Help?
Miles
