LDAP breaks HAL/DBus/gnome-volume-manager ?

If ldap is not available, there's a problem resolving users, which makes
those services fail.



The only workarround I ever had was to have an init script detect if it
was on the network and have nsswitch.conf use ldap or leave ldap out
when roaming.



It's not a good solution though.
