Suspend question

If I recall correctly, I tried suspending from a Live CD for kicks once
and had similar results.  However, on an installed version I can suspend
just fine.  I don't know if that will be the case for you or not, but
I'll second the suspicion that it has to do at least partially with it
being a live session.
