If no-one makes it easy to run ipv6, then no-one will and we will sit

Perhaps. But, ipv6 is anything but a "newfangled protocol". It's been
around for ages, but ISPs and users are reluctant to deploy it, mostly
due to the cost of upgrading routers IIRC
