Before we get into the complexities of the config, by "no action" do you
mean a perfectly blank screen except for a cursor blinking in the upper
left corner? If so, that means there is no boot loader on the first
disk's MBR and you will need to load one from a LiveCd or install disk.
Are you sure you didn;t swap your two drives around - it's mighty
unusual to have Linux on hda and Windows on hdb like you have them - the
reverse is more common.
