Where to place module options?

Hey

I have to load the psmouse module with option "proto=imps" otherwise the 
scrollwheel does not work correct. So, I put "psmouse proto=imps" in 
/etc/modules but it looks like this option is not applied to psmouse?

After reboot I have to do:
sudo modprobe -r psmouse
sudo modprobe psmouse proto=imps

and the scrollwheel works correct.

I am running Dapper on a AMD64 box.
