Please don't top post. It has now become very difficult for everyone
else reading this to know that you replied to Daniel and I am replying
to you.
You are most unlikely to notice any real difference between reiser and
ext3 on that machine unless you have mighty unusual needs. Use the fs
that you already know and with whose tools you are familiar. You will
notice a much much larger increase if you upgrade the disks themselves
to something nice and fast.
