Thank you, this probably is short answer to my initial question.

Certainly, DVD's were mentioned just as an example. The question in fact was 
about creating redundant fault-tolerant read-only file system on write-once 
media. 

As it seems to be clear from answers, there is no such thing.  Yet. :)
