But it should, shouldn't it? I mean, the user has /bin/bash as the
login shell set in /etc/passwd (or whereever). And the user did login.
So, shouldn't .bashrc be sourced, as long as ". ~/.bashrc" is in ~/.bash_profile?

At least that's what seems to happen under Gentoo and that's what I'd
expect to happen.
