Whilst I didnt notice your specific model, you might want to check:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam
and see if any of the HP laptops have similar hardware to your own. If
it is stated as working and your hardware isnt too different then all
should be well. Also, the hardware support has increased so much
recently that so long as you back up the files you need from your
Windows partitions, you might want to just try it and see...
