Thanks, that's exactly what I was after.
I have xfce's terminal, gnome-terminal and xterm installed. It isn't
offering me to select xterm:

There are 2 alternatives which provide `x-terminal-emulator'.

  Selection    Alternative
-----------------------------------------------
*+    1        /usr/bin/gnome-terminal.wrapper
      2        /usr/bin/xfce4-terminal.wrapper

Why is this?
