In what way Mike? I have used VNC for about 10 years now on all kinds
of platforms and it is as simple as downloading the tar/zip for that
platform, installing it (which is usually just a simply untar) and
then using it.

Also with the small protocol footprint, I could run VNC in a lot less
painful fashion over SLIP and 56K PPP dialup than using X natively.
